IS there any commitment or contract when joining The Movement Momentum Challenge?
Although we hope that by the end of the trial / challenge you are feeling healthier and happier than you have ever been in your body, there is still no obligation to continue your training with H Space Movement. The challenge is in place for you to regain momentum and mojo. With all the training, fun and friendships you will make throughout the challenge we are sure you will want to continue on as a valued member!
Do you have to be injured to benefit?
Definately not! You do not have to be injured to recieve all the benefits and results of training with our methods. For most people there is a form of restriction or lack of strength and range of motion in many joints and movements from within our body. Unforunately some people show signs of injury, but others will still need to further build resilience and function in their body and movement to avoid an injury in the future. If you do have an injury, this will be picked up in your assessment and you will be advised on the best individual approach to succesfully recover.
Isn't movement and mobility like pilates and yoga, As I don't think it will challenge me enough or I'll get bored?
Although sharing some similar props at times the Kinstretch mobility classes and teaching in our H Space SPPT sessions are very different to anything you would have experienced. Our work is all about strength and effort in positions that are't familiar and reguarly visited. As humans we follow the path of least resistance, but I encourage my clients to take the other path and train their body where its weak or lacks control.
DO you have changing rooms at the studio?
Although our studio space is compact we do have a generous toilet / changing room that can be untilized as well as a hanging rack / shoe rack for your belongings on arrival. I would always advise that you come as prepared as possible for your session.
What kit do you use in your sessions?
Although we make the most of what we can do from a bodyweight standpoint we use kettlebells, steel macebells, indian clubs, sandbags, resistance bands, gymnastic rings, parrellettes and ski ergs in our sessions. Our SGPT sessions will ensure you become competent on all the equipment that is used in your programme.
Personal Training is expensive, what makes your offer any different?
Personal training has always been a very exclusive product to a limited audience that could afford to use it. Our SGPT (small group personal training) is an ideal option for those that want to make a change and want the attention and excellent instruction but for a fraction of the price of a 1 to 1 PT session. By sharing the session with 2 other particpants you still get the personalised attention to improve and progress to your goal whilst having the comeradery and energy shared with two other like minded individuals. The group benefits together and the individuals benefit.
How many times a week do I need to attend to see the benefit?
Quality over quantity! Everyones routines and time is laid out differently with work and family life. Wehther you attend once a week or 5 times a week, the key is to be as consistent in showing up and building healthy habits around the training sessions. One session a week for a year, might be 52 sessions more than the previous year ;) you've just got to start.
What is Kinstretch and why would it be good for me?
Kinstretch is a movement & mobility focused class that will build better joint health, body control and strength at end ranges. This benefits anyone from teenagers with poor posuture and shin splints to an older individual who wants to get up and down easier. The class is completely individual and has a self assessment tool built in so you know where to safely work from for each position depending on your joint health and level of movement. I belive it to be essential for modern day living and athletic performance.
